I'm Blake Flannery, the author and publisher of WishesMessagesSayings.com. I began my journey of creating this site more than a decade ago. I wrote on another site and soon realized that the popularity of my card message pages indicated I had a knack for providing people a quick reference when in a pinch for writing in cards. My pages written through Hubpages have gained more than 40 million views! I also realized the need for this as a resource for those with writer's block.
I began providing greeting card messages at a time when you couldn't find anything on established card company websites such as Hall-Mark and American Greetings. Much of the content out there was unoriginal, boring, and/or full of grammatical errors. With humility, I attempted to create engaging content and have improved over the years.
In 2011 I came to the realization that I needed a place of my own to share my ideas and created wishesmessagessayings.com as a specific collection of my favorite niche of writing. I chose the long worded name to communicate my mission of covering a broad range of occasions and interests. As only one writer working part-time, I have spent countless hours writing, editing, and updating the pages of this site. The pages and messages, just like myself, will always be a work in progress. As the large corporations get into the business of hiring professional writers to write their own greeting ideas, I'm choosing to continue to focus on what is needed. This tends to be more specific types and special themes.
I'm a small and open-minded operation, and I'm always open to new ideas for content and encourage you to contact me with suggestions. Many of my best topic ideas have come from friends, family, coworkers and neighbors!
